Fletcher 'odds on favourite'

Field wilts under pre tournament pressure
Fletcher and Christie are playing well on UK courses and they are the biggest threat to the rest of the field. With Collard and McGregor struggling for low handicap form and Reevo, Roberts and Buffoni struggling with consistency, it looks like the G.O. 2008 will be a two horse race.

However, the Polaris World courses pose a different challenge. With a combination of high temperatures, copious amounts of sand and strong winds, the set up for this years G.O. ensures only the strongest will survive.

Fletcher's ability to play 18 holes in 90+ degree heat on just 10mm of water, may prove an essential weapon in his locker. But 2001 champion Christie will be challenging.
