The Founders
James Darwent
Wardlow bred, now residing in Glasgow. With a handicap of 28, James consistently proves his determination and commitment in the face of great expectations and pressure. James has had his fair share of first-hole-tee-shot nightmares that will live long in the memories of everyone. A G.O. favourite, it won't be long before he will be gracing the fairways (rough) on the G.O. tour again.
Nick Turner
Calver born now in the gun city Nottingham with a handicap of 24, this powerful iron player has the potential for great golfing scores. The lowest GO score to record proves he has the ability but mentally, he leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Currently travelling around the world so the question is, will he return having found himself and a new golfing mind?
Jon Blackshaw
From Youlgrave with a handicap of 28, Jon continues to show glimpses of how he can play. Quit in 2001, absent from the tournament in 2002, finished last in 2003 and consequently retired. Jon has since been training to be a doctor so has played little. But rumours suggest he is planning a return...
Sam Fletcher
London city boy from Litton with a handicap of 12, this grinder has a proven track record in playing gritty golf. With an unnerving ability to score (regardless of form) and now Champion in 2005 and 2007. Is there anymore to come from this man?
John Roberts
"I think my details deserve to be updated as the world may mistake me for a girl with a handicap of 36: I played off 28 last year and carded the 2nd lowest round of the week and captained the winning Captain's Cup side".

Now off 16, 'Robot' has gone low quick and now finds himself with the challenge of keeping his game on track. A true golfing gent who has a real handicap - one he plays to when on form rather than one that provides a nice comfort zone.

Chris Race
From Doncaster. Chris has not been seen much these days but rest assured, we will no doubt be seeing him on the tour in the near future.
Ben Collard
From Chesterfield with a handicap of 9. Champion in 2002, 2004 and 2006. Ben simply plays too much sport, be it squash or golf. If he had the 9 handicap before the 2006 win then things may have been different. To be fair to the adopted Geordie-man, he is the most dedicated to playing golf of all G.O. players each year.
Cameron Christie
From Curbar with a handicap of 19, Cameron is the 2001 GO Champion. An elegant player with the ability to find his groove, but swing rebuilds and lost touch around the greens have hampered his chances in recent years. Without doubt the most dangerous player on tour with plenty of shots to play with.
Tom Fisher
'Joey' is the professional. Now living in San Diego and working for Taylor Made. This yank has recovered from a back-op and was in the leading pack on the final day of 2006. Although thousands of miles away he is dedicated to the cause.
Ben McGregor
Living in Sheffield with a handicap of 10 Ben is a talented player with the ability to shoot low. It was a matter of when, not if, this player would deliver the goods. In 2008 he delivered by becoming the 2008 G.O. Champion.
